“What I did this Summer” - by Grayson Knight
This summer was all about slowing down, soaking it in, and starting fresh.
I kicked things off at my family’s lake house in upstate South Carolina for the Fourth of July. Think boat rides, sandy feet, big family dinners, and two nephews who never ran out of energy. We even swung by my old childhood home in Greenville—it was a fun little walk down memory lane.
The big news, though, is that I moved into a new home! It’s been a whirlwind of painting, wallpapering, hanging art, and figuring out where everything goes. My cat has fully claimed the backyard as his kingdom, and I’m loving the change of pace after years of city living.
I did sneak in a quick Austin getaway too—staying at the Carpenter Hotel, a funky 1940s meeting hall turned boutique spot shaded by pecan trees. Between the local shops, food, and trails, the trip was the perfect creative recharge.
