Connecting with the Next Generation of Designers: ASID Student Symposium

Our own Grayson Knight recently took part in the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) Student Symposium in Dallas, a two-day event bringing together design students from across Texas. The symposium offered an engaging mix of discussions, vendor showcases, and showroom tours that connected students with practicing professionals.

As part of a panel with Christine G. Interiors, Yates Desygn, and Nicole Arnold Interiors, Grayson shared real-world insight into running a design firm—touching on leadership, entrepreneurship, and the balance between creativity and business. The open conversation gave students an honest look at the realities of the profession and the many ways to build a meaningful career in design.

Staying connected to the design community—and to those just beginning their journeys—reminds us why we do what we do. Sharing experiences, ideas, and encouragement keeps the profession vibrant and evolving.
