Summer Days with Christina!

Summer Days with Christina.

This summer was full of sunshine, family, and a few unexpected adventures. We kicked things off in one of the most beautiful places on earth—Hanalei Bay, Hawaii. With my parents joining us, it was a multi-generational getaway full of swimming in the ocean, spotting rainbows, building monster truck ramps in the sand, and exploring the island’s beauty from Queen’s Bath to the Na Aina Kai Botanical Gardens.

Back home in Texas, we found our own slice of fun at Possum Kingdom Lake. What started as a weekend trip quickly turned into a summer tradition—tubing (and plenty of giggles), wake surfing, feeding the neighborhood longhorns, and enjoying live music at Hemingway’s.

The summer came full circle in Kansas City, where I grew up and where both Cole’s and my families have deep roots. We celebrated the Fourth of July with fireworks, pool parties, and a day at Lake Quivira before a quick Dallas staycation at Hotel Swexen—complete with pool time, dinner at Catch, and a lazy brunch. We wrapped up the season with our annual trip to La Jolla, soaking in the ocean air, family time, and just enough adventure to carry us into fall.
