Looking Back: High Point Market Spring ‘25

Design in the Fast Lane: High Point Market

This season at High Point Market was all about seeing things differently. We brought two designers from our team who had never been before, and experiencing it through their eyes gave us a fresh appreciation for the energy, the pace, and the tactile thrill of the show.

Grayson joined a panel at the Antique & Design Center on The New Luxury, where the conversation leaned into craftsmanship, thoughtful materials, and design that feels personal rather than performative. Christina spoke on a panel hosted by Sherrill Furniture, sharing how to build a business that’s as resilient as it is inspired.

We spent Market immersed in inspiration—connecting with vendors, discovering new trade partners, and sourcing materials that sparked ideas. A few trends stood out: color and texture aren’t going anywhere—bright hues and layered fabrics made a strong statement, not just in upholstery but in lighting too.

Utilitarian furniture made an impression, especially sleek bar cabinets and pieces designed for real living. Mixed surfaces—grasscloth, cane, stone—were everywhere, often layered for added depth. And natural materials remain front and center: stone, wood, and wicker appeared across categories.

Curves continue to dominate, from sofas and tables to subtle patterns—an ongoing nod to Wabi Sabi and softness over symmetry.

It was a full week—fast, inspiring, and beautifully busy. Sometimes, the best ideas arrive at high speed. We just try to catch them before they’re gone.
